Easter Sunday is the service when we celebrate the resurrection and is the first Sunday in the new Easter season. The Alleluia, which is dropped from the liturgy during Lent, resumes at the Easter Vigil and resonates through the church on Easter morning.
Worship With Us
Each Sunday at 10 AM we gather to listen to the words of the Bible, including readings from the Old Testament and New Testament. Our preacher uses one of the texts for a sermon to guide our understanding, to encourage our faith, and to move us from faith to action. The framework for our worship is presented in the Book of Common Prayer. The hymns we sing together are mostly found in The Hymnal 1982, of the Episcopal Church. We follow Rite II for most services, and during the summer we add an 8:00 AM service using the Rite I from the Book of Common Prayer.
