Rev. Jennie Anderson welcomes hikers from around the globe.

Hikers call ahead to seek lodging at our church parish hall or rectory. Over the summer we house more than 100 hikers for a night before they go on their way. The Appalachian Trail, conceived in 1923, runs directly in front of St. Barnabas Church.

Milton Frye Nature Area

On June 16, 2018 Rev. Jennie Anderson dedicated the new trailhead and bridge at the back of our property.  The Norwich Trails Commission reconstructed the sign at the entrance with a map of the Milton Frye Nature Area and "Rules of the Trail".  The Upper Valley Trails Alliance supervised the reconstruction of the bridge and mapped out a new spur trail that will lead back to the Memorial Garden.
